Mongolia_Moohyun Baek 2025

Mongolia, located at an average altitude of 1,580 meters, is a land of harsh conditions, with 44% of its territory covered by desert. Because most of the year (October to May) is winter, burn injuries are common, and due to the country’s limited medical resources, children in particular are extremely vulnerable to the severe cold and related health issues.  Many families still live in gers (traditional Mongolian tents) and rely on coal or wood stoves for heating. As a result, children are frequently exposed to the risk of burns, and tragically, many are unable to receive proper treatment.  With the generous support of Global Children Foundation (GCF), the Agape Christian Hospital — the only missionary hospital in Mongolia — was able to provide free reconstructive surgeries for 19 children suffering from burn scars, post-traumatic deformities, or congenital malformations.  These children, who had long struggled with low self-esteem and social isolation due to their physical deformities, have now regained their confidence and are better able to adapt at school, thanks to improved appearance and functionality after surgery.  We sincerely thank all the sponsors and supporters of the Global Children Foundation for their loving care. The Agape Christian Hospital in Mongolia will continue to do its best to share and spread the love of Christ in this spiritually and physically barren land.
