New Hope School, located in the small rural village of Kralanhchhoeu in Cambodia, is a typical countryside community where most residents are engaged in agriculture. Due to the busy schedule of parents with farming duties, our school provides students with a daily meal and supports them with necessary textbooks and school supplies.  On special occasions such as Easter and Christmas, we conduct large-scale relief efforts for the entire village. Thanks to the support from GCF, the children’s relief efforts have become even more abundant, including essential items such as rice, oil, soy sauce, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more. The ability to install bookshelves in the school was also a significant help.   In the second half of the year, with GCF’s support, we were able to address the challenge of waterlogging from the school entrance to the playground during the rainy season, making it difficult for students to attend. By laying gravel and sand, children can now safely arrive at school without getting stuck in the water even during rain. All these positive changes have been made possible through GCF’s support, greatly benefiting both students and the village residents.
