The lives of children living in the isolated Amazon region revolve around the jungle and the river, which serve as their playground, their teacher, and their school. Growing up in a culture where women give birth continuously from adolescence to menopause, these children are left to raise themselves in an environment cut off from modern civilization and without anyone to properly care for them.  In the midst of these harsh circumstances, the children’s ministry supported by Global Children Foundation (GCF) has become a beacon of hope, offering new visions and possibilities for a better future. Through teaching the Bible and literacy, the program helps plant hope in their hearts, guiding them to distinguish right from wrong and to live upright lives.  At the same time, the program provides nutritious food to children suffering from malnutrition, helping them grow into healthy and strong individuals. What began in a few border regions of the Amazon—where Brazil, Colombia, and Peru meet—has now expanded to 12 areas across the three countries, reaching approximately 120 village communities and benefiting around 5,000 children.  To sustain this work, local leaders are carefully selected, trained, and equipped to carry out the program in their respective regions. However, many more children who are not yet part of this program are still waiting for help. We are deeply grateful for GCF’s support that has made this ministry possible and pray that it will continue to grow and reach even more children in need.
