South AmericaOnce the most prosperous country in South America, Venezuela, despite possessing the world’s largest oil reserves, has declined into one of the poorest nations after 24 years of unsustainable welfare policies. Amid these dire circumstances, the support of the Global Children Foundation (GCF) has become a beacon of hope for food-insecure children in the Cumaná region. Initially providing meals twice a week to 22 children, this initiative has steadily brought meaningful and lasting changes to their lives.
Thanks to GCF’s sponsorship, educational programs have had a positive impact on the children’s spiritual and moral development. Their weight and physical growth have steadily improved, leading to noticeable enhancements in their overall health and well-being. Additionally, increased emotional interactions among the children reflect growth in self-esteem and social skills, with greater interest and participation observed.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to GCF supporters who have sown seeds of hope for Venezuela’s children, even amidst poverty.
