Middle AsiaOver the past year, about 300 students at Otuz Adyr School No. 12 in southern Kyrgyzstan have received warm and nutritious meals every week — a new and valuable experience for them. Each week, students were served “Ash,” a traditional local dish, along with fresh carrot salad, high-quality yogurt, and seasonal fruits such as bananas and apples, ensuring a well-balanced and healthy diet. Thanks to the support of GCF, the school was able to provide regular hot meals, allowing students to have more energy and actively participate in their classes. Teachers and parents expressed their deep gratitude and joy, while community leaders also acknowledged the significant benefits this program has brought to the local community. Over the past year, this program has helped children feel cared for and valued, strengthened the sense of unity within the community, and brought meaningful improvements to the students’ overall health and well-being. We sincerely thank GCF for making all of this possible.
