City Carton, a slum village located in Machakos County near Nairobi, Kenya, is home to about 500 residents living in houses made of wood, tin, and plastic sheets. Most of the residents work as day laborers, earning between 200–500 KSH ($1.60–$4.00) per day.  ATA has been supporting this community by establishing a church and a kindergarten, and now, with the implementation of Global Children Foundation’s Feeding Project, many children and youth are experiencing great joy and hope. Meals are mainly provided on weekends and during school holidays, while nutritious porridge is served to kindergarten children on weekdays. This program has brought comfort and happiness to children who have long suffered from hunger.  Thanks to Global Children Foundation, a total of 45,510 meals are provided each year through this feeding program. In the early stages of the ministry, during January and February 2025, around 100 children and youth participated each week. However, since March, approximately 165 children and youth have been receiving meals regularly on weekends and during holidays. In addition, about 50 kindergarten children and hungry youngsters are being served nutritious porridge every weekday.
