2025 Global Children Foundation 27th Annual General Meeting

The 27th Annual General Assembly of Global Children Foundation was held at the Tysons Hilton Hotel in Virginia from September 12 to 14.
More than 250 members from 16 branches attended the assembly, where reports on the 2024 financial results, the 2026 budget and project plans, as well as branch activities and sponsorship updates, were presented.
GCF president, Jane Kim announced that the Foundation had donated $650,295 in 2024, $728,000 in 2025, and plans to contribute $732,000 in 2026 to support children in need around the world.
At the fundraising dinner themed “Hope for Tomorrow,” Chairperson Suh Hee Lee expressed heartfelt gratitude to members and supporters, saying, “Just as each small candle brightens the darkness, when we unite our hearts, the world becomes a brighter place.”
Keynote speaker Inkyung Choi from Türkiye emphasized that “the support of Global Children Foundation transforms the lives of children living in war and hunger, saving lives through compassion and service that honors the dignity of the recipients.”
Consul General Ki Jong Cho delivered a congratulatory address, while Maryland Secretary Susan Lee presented a Governor’s Citation on behalf of Governor Wes Moore. Chief Administrative Law Judge Choong Ki Park also extended his admiration for the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts, commending its “love for children beyond borders.”
Special appreciation plaques were awarded to Director Kyung Ae Jung and Sun Kwang Church of Washington, and special achievement awards were presented to Advisor David Young Hwan Son and Sponsorship Director Kyung Ae Lee.
Angelene Cho was appointed as the next Chairperson, and the 28th Annual General Assembly will be held in San Diego in September 2026.
