South AmericaThe Jukyty landfill village in Paraguay, whose name means “Land of Salt” in the native Indian language, is a desolate area where hope has been sown through the establishment of the Vision Canaan Social Welfare Center. Since 1999, the center has operated a weekly Saturday food program, serving 200 meals prepared with love and care to the local community. Children’s worship resumed in April this year after being suspended during COVID-19. The meals provided through the generous support of GCF have offered not only physical nourishment but also opportunities for spiritual growth. Despite rising inflation and ongoing extreme poverty in Paraguay, the children of the landfill village are experiencing spiritual abundance and continued discipleship training thanks to GCF and its donors.
