Kyrgyzstan_Hotae Min 2024

We are currently supporting underprivileged families living in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, as well as nearby areas of the capital within a two-hour radius. Many of these families are single-parent households or are children living with relatives due to the absence of their parents. As one example, one family consists of a mother who is unable to work due to health issues and her five daughters, living under very difficult circumstances.  Some of the families that received assistance from previous GCF funds have been supported again, while we also extended help to new families this time around.  Working closely with our local staff, we carefully select families that are genuinely in need of support. Afterwards, we visit them in person to provide essential supplies such as flour, cooking oil, and sugar – all of which we purchase directly from local supermarkets.
