Central AmericaWhen the COVID pandemic began, the government of Chuisakaba Uno and Dos, one of the poorest regions in Guatemala, thoroughly locked down the economy, effectively shutting down transportation means like buses.
As a result, Chuisakaba residents were unable to find work and go to work.
Thus, almost all villagers, including children, faced starvation. With the GCF donation, we donated grain sacks to 240 households in two villages, extending their lifeline.
