Global Children’s Foundation (GCF) held its 28th Annual General Meeting successfully from September 11 to 13 at the Hilton Mission Valley in San Diego, with around 200 members and supporters in attendance. Representatives from 14 chapters participated in the meeting, which included reports on the 2025 financial statements, the 2027 budget and program plans, and each chapter’s activities and sponsorship status.

President Jane Kim announced that the foundation provided $745,049 in support in 2025 and $725,074 in 2026, and plans to provide $714,418 in 2027 to children in need around the world.

At the fundraising dinner, held under the theme “For the Children, For the Future,” Chairperson Angeline Cho emphasized, “Although science and technology have advanced spectacularly, many children still live each day amid war, hunger, unequal access to education, and a lack of care.” She added, “As the past 28 years have proven, when Global Children’s Foundation’s love and actions come together, there is no change we cannot achieve,” and expressed gratitude to members and supporters.

President Jane Kim remarked, “What children need are a warm meal, a clean glass of water, access to medical care when they are sick, and the opportunity to attend school—the gateway to the world.” He pledged, “We will continue to do our utmost so that our small acts of love can give children the courage and hope to live.”

The keynote speaker was Dr. Suzan Chung, a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Chung likened the additional 20–30 years of life expectancy to an “Indian summer of life,” and stressed that finding meaning through service and sharing, and taking time for self-reflection, can make this period a golden age. She particularly highlighted that the Global Children’s Foundation members’ efforts—motivated by “a mother’s love”—to help hungry children and practice sharing can bring new meaning and strength to life.

On the same day, former Chairperson Seuhee Lee received a plaque of Recongnition, and Dr. Cheonbin Yim from San Diego was presented with a certificate of thanks.

In addition, President Jane Kim’s reappointment was confirmed, and the 29th Annual General Meeting will be held in 2027 in Orange County, hosted by OC president, Kyungsun Park.

Going forward, Global Children’s Foundation will continue to extend love and sharing—rooted in “a mother’s love”—by providing meals, education, and medical support to children in need around the world so that they may dream of a better future.
