AfricaIn Madibo Village, Busia County, Kenya, many children could not attend school because they couldn’t afford tuition. Some spent their days under the scorching sun digging fields just to earn a single meal, while others, in desperate need, sold their bodies and became mothers at a young age—children who never had a chance to truly be children. In the midst of such hopelessness, a school was established to gather orphans and children from single-parent families, providing them with free education and meals. The children who once struggled to find even one meal a day began to study and receive two meals at school. As a result, their academic performance improved dramatically—rising to 7th place among 65 local schools. With proper nutrition, they also began to shine in sports, even representing their region in the Busia County competitions. During the recent graduation ceremony, seeing these once-struggling children now transformed and full of hope was deeply moving. Their bright futures are beginning to unfold before our eyes. We sincerely thank GCF for their wholehearted support that made this possible. Please continue to pray that these children will grow into leaders who will bring transformation to Kenya and all of Africa.
